Another new year and yet another resolution………….. hmmmm sounds quite boring, especially so if I don’t stick to it 3 days after making it. Just like every other pretty (Ahem!) girl around the world, I also make resolutions year after year about going to the gym, maintaining a healthy life style blah, blah, blah. This year, I thought I’ll make a resolution that’s so different from the rest of the ones I’ve made so far, that I feel like keeping up to it.

And hence my this year’s new year resolution is to thank everybody (whomever I can remember) who has contributed to my life in whatsoever manner which has helped me grow: as a person, as an individual, as a woman
So here goes…………………….
My best friends P and D. P and me have been friends since my MBA days which is like 5 years. Got to know him better only in the last 2 semesters. D and I have been friends since graduation which is like 8 yrs of friendship. I don’t have words to express the kind of relationship we share. Both of them are my friends, my mates, my comrades. They probably know me more than I know myself.
P & D: Thank you for everything you’ve done so far and everything that you will be doing for me in the future and most of all thank you for believing in me.

My colleagues at work SL and AM: Thanks so much for making me discover the “woman” in me
My ex-boss AS. Initially I felt she was the most amazing boss anybody could have. But once I finished my honeymoon period in my ex-organization, I realized what a PIA she was.
AS: In your own “unique” way, you made me a victim of your office politics. Had it not been for you, I would have probably enjoyed my stay at the organization and stayed on much longer, probably long enough to win the " Longevity award". Thank you so much for making me aware of “office politics” and waking up to the fact that women top the list in creating them. I take it as a learning – NEVER TRUST YOUR BOSS! (at a personal level)
My cousin and my uncle: Words fail me, when I have to express my gratitude to you. The conversation we had over lunch in the restaurant when I was in the most depressing phase of my life is what filled me with confidence to face life again! Thank you so much
My biology sir MRF: Sir, had it not been for your motivation, I probably wouldn’t have been what I am today. Thank you sir.
To thank the entire world, and not thank your spirit of motivation at home would be like going around the world in search of something that is within you.
They say daughter’s are always daddy’s girls. I, for one can vouch for it. My dad’s been my motivation, my strength, and my philosopher and my guide. Thanks dad for …………………………………………………………………………….being my dad!!!
