A little bit of many
different things is really who I am. A
quintessential Libran - moody, fun loving, talkative, extroverted, extremely
mischievous, possessive, and protective; a bookoholic, I love to read anything
that comes my way. Calvin Hobbes being my all time favorite. An amateur
blogger, animation movie freak, loves music, beaches, waterfalls, rain, and
nature, loves to yap, which most of the times is gibberish nonsense. I get
angry very easily, prefer silence to words when I’m angry, emotional,
impulsive, very impatient and there are very few people I actually and deeply
care about, and yes I do need a LOT of motivation to clean my room - – That’s
me in a ‘NUT’shell!!!
My interests, like my
personality, change very often- but I strive for perfection in whatever is my
muse of the moment!!! I believe I know that I am very creative
and in my free time (?), I love to experiment with colors and dabble around
with brush and paint. My current obsession is painting terracotta diyas for
Diwali and making quilled jewelry. I’m trying to get a hang of how to make wire
wrapped earrings as well.
An extrovert by nature, I
love to talk and make new friends, which is one of the major reasons that
attracted me to the field of HR!
Having been born &
raised in the garden city I’m a typical Southie – I love my masala dosa and
coffee! There’s nothing that beats waking up to the aroma of strong filter
coffee early in the morning!!!
I love walking barefoot on
wet grass, getting wet in the rain, the aroma of the first rains, a phone call
from a close friend, sunshine on a winter morning, enjoying a sunset, waking up
to a sunrise with warm filter coffee, a walk on the beach, wet flowers AND THE
BEST ONE!!!.............. Curling up on a hammock with an interesting book on a
rainy day with hot coffee and hot samosas or pop corn, soft music in an open
varranda with the raindrops hitting me............... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm PURE
HEAVEN!!! .......THE SMALLEST THINGS MAKE ME THE HAPPIEST!!!
I’m not a very 'sporty'
type of a person but someday would like to try my hand in extreme sports like
bungee jumping, river rafting, scuba diving, sky diving, rock climbing,
surfing, snow skiing, water skiing, hand gliding, para gliding and the sorts. In the mean time I am trying to be flexible and find peace in doing yoga.
I love reading. The aroma
between the pages of hardbound book can keep me hooked on to it for ages. I
prefer to buy books and read them rather than borrowing them b'coz of which I
have a mini 'Lending library' of my own where my books get circulated among
friends. But of late I've got hooked on to my kindle, due to lack of space at home to store the books that I buy.
I love music. I can enjoy
anything from a simple classical to hard rock - but that's totally dependent on
my mood. But yes, I would definitely depend on my favorite Kishore Kumar songs
to lift up my spirits and brighten my day!
I wouldn't say that I’m a
movie freak. But I love watching movies whenever I get the time to do it. I've quite
a few favorites but a 'James Bond' movie will have me glued to the seat!
Maverick is my pen name,
and I guess my description pretty much reveals why I chose it!
